Very true. And it shows that psychology it’s easier to fool people than to convince them that they have been fooled.

Everyday I’d come home from work and every adult in my neighborhood was drinking and hanging out in the street. Every kid was on a bike or scooter. It really was a great time, considering the world economy was completely fricked.

why do people act like exchanging pleasantries is such an awful and taxing thing to do
Because for many people it is.
Probably opposite of those that hated sitting inside for COVID. Tell me to sit and make small talk with a person intermittently every day for a year or go live in isolation, I'm picking isolation 100% of the time.
Pleasantries aren't real. They're a lie. You don't care how I'm doing, I don't care how you're doing. We can both see the weather.
If you don't mind it, that's great. I can't stand it. I'd rather get kicked behind my knee.

I enjoyed a spring with all sports and activities cancelled for my kids. Selfishly.
Every night together in the back yard watching movies on the deck, jumping on the trampoline, playing games, etc. was something I wish would be a bit more enforceable.

In a way, that was right after LSU won the NC, so staying home, watching the game replays and drinking wine wasn't too bad.

Being paid to be at home spending time with my wife and kids, in what was wonderful weather for South Louisiana that Spring, was really nice.
Yes that part was pretty nice. Maybe the first four weeks or so I rode bikes several times and had a lot of family movie nights. We cooked at home a lot more and just had a great family time.
After that it all started sucking. The power grab by our ignorant state and local leaders and the virtue signaling made me lose a lot of faith in our society. frick all that

I'd wear a mask to sleep to bring back those interest rates

Trial run.

The whole 6 feet apart and limiting the number of people going into stores deal? No thanks.
No shite. The number of times I went to Costco when they had that rule in effect really got cut down to only when absolutely necessary, especially when it was hot out. I remember passing there one day and the line had to be 2+ blocks long with 6 ft. spacing between patrons. As 10 people left the store, they'd allow 10 to enter.
Then run over to Home Depot or Lowes and the store was not imposing any such restrictions-----so damn arbitrary how they did that.

I got pretty good at COD during that time. It also made me buy and trick out an AR15 and Sig P320.

I miss absolutely nothing about Covid. The hysteria, the government lies, the masktards, the WHOLE DAMN THING.

This is weird - no I don’t miss it
My husband working 18 hour days, the kids couldn’t participate in anything (we homeschool already so that was important) limits on milk and bread - my teens asking what will happen if we die
Yeah, no thanks

We need a Covid-23 so my essential arse don’t have to deal with this traffic.
