If only it wasn't such a haul to get out there. I'd play it all the time if I didn't have to worry about what shitshow I might run into coming back across that bridge

I played in a charity scramble out there a few weeks ago. It is in great shape. Still needs to ket grass get higher in the fairways snd range was pretty rough/sandy but otherwise a great track.

Too bad there isn’t another bridge 10 minutes past the one you’re so scared of.

Even if you cross the old bridge with no problems, as soon as you get on Airline Hwy or take 110 to I-10 you are still stuck in the shitshow.

Try again dipshit.

No kidding. Suggesting someone sit in Intracoastal bridge traffic to drive another 10-15 minutes North to cross the river then approach the stand still from the North for an additional 20-30 minutes is idiotic.

This is the correct answer. Especially when it doesn’t get dark until 8:30

I play it after work at least once a week. Course is in great shape.

Hate the start to the back though

You are completely right. I’m scared of that 3 hole stretch.

10 is an easy hole imo. Just dont slice your drive and its an easy wedge in. From the tips its a different story though

Agreed. 10 is more visually intimidating than anything. But it opens up a good bit the further you hit it. But you can hit a mid to long iron and still have a full wedge in, or you can hit a driver or fairway wood off the tee and have a short wedge in. Just don't hit it right.

The approach into 12 is the one that gets me because it's blind and you just don't know where on the green the flag is without going all the way up and looking.

Its also a skinny green with trouble around so trying to get up and down for birdie if you go for it in 2 can be really tricky. Laying up is tricky too due to the bunkers 60-80 yards in front of the green

I would rather play 2 then 17. That hole always gives me fits.

Played The Island Saturday for the first time in ages and was surprised to see the bunker in the fairway on 17 was now filled in. Made the hole much easier for me as that bunker is in my landing zone. Bit of a disappointment actually.
