Never go over your allotted time in a meeting. If the person in front of you goes over, you make yours shorter. If you are the last one before lunch even if you don't have ANY time at all you just dismiss for lunch.

Most meetings could be emails...

When forming relationships, try to hang out as much as possible with people who are happy and have positive outlooks. To the extent possible, stay away from gripers and people who bad mouth others.
