At 25 I had a worthless history degree and no job prospects. Went back to get my alternate certification for 7-12 education.

Graduated high school in 71 and went to college hit or miss for 3 years, had 75 hours and about a 1.7 GPA. Quit and worked several different jobs. Went back in 89, I was 36. Went 90% night classes including summers and graduated in 91, 3.9 GPA for that time period. Best thing I’ve ever done.

I was 27 when I started back. I went back for veterinary sciences, quickly realized I wouldn't make near enough money to justify the cost of vet school. Decided on accounting. Finished May of 2022 at 30.

I'm still seeing if it's worth it right now.

It's shocking how differently you're treated when you have a degree. I worked in warehouses for 8 years after HS and my first corporate job out of school was an adjustment. Took a minute to realize that my entire life until then had been someone whip cracking and babysitting.

It definitely opens more doors.

You can get a medical laboratory technician 2 year degree and start working in a lab then bridge it to a bachelors if you want.

I went back to school in my late 30's for the full four years, I didn't go full time 4 years but needed the time to retake science pre req classes that "expired" and to take all the science classes I never took before getting into a program. The way things fell it just ended up being a couple years part time then 1.5 years full time.

My dumb arse was only concerned with chasing tail and drinking for five years.

I graduated with a 2.5 and would give anything to go back now that I’m interested in the classes.

Started at 25, graduated at 29, and it was absolutely worth it both financially and for job satisfaction.

I went back at 27 and it took me several years to graduate because I had to work a lot. It totally sucked, but I wanted to become an engineer and that is what it took. Damn glad I did because that path has provided me with a damn good life. If you decide to go back, be sure you go in a worthwhile major and be damn sure you are ready to finish.

I went back to college at 43 to complete a second degree while working fulltime. It was hard as hell. I graduated at 45 and don’t regret it 6 years later. It opened a lot of doors.

I was 26 when I left my last drilling rig and finished my engineering degree. Took me three years almost to the day. Don’t regret it. Still work in oil and gas but many more opportunities.

I’m 40. Was in college for 9 years and earned 2 bachelors degrees from two SEC universities. I wish I had gone for my 3rd degree somewhere new….in the sec.

42

Associates in business in 12 months (BPCC Online)

Bachelor’s in Management in 11 months (LSUS Online)

I’m 44 now and about to start my MBA in Finance and should be done in less than 2 years.

Absolutely worth it.
