Can someone recommend me one in this area?

Have some extra income lately and don’t trust myself to be my own adviser. Currently use an Edward Jones agent who has done well for us. Just would like to get a new viewpoint and be somewhat more diversified.

Thanks.

Here's a free perspective:
Put all of your extra income in either VTI or SPY.
VTI is the entire US market (4,000+ stocks) and SPY is the S&P 500 index.

Edward Jones sells really shitty American funds that somehow fail to keep up with the market as a whole.

So instead, buy the whole market. You don't need to trust yourself to do this. Your portfolio will perform as the market performs, which is about 10% annualized over any 30+ year time period.

If you really want to investigate, check out your current American funds and report back what they've returned over the last 5 years.
