Just tell owners of those to do what they do in California, and leave the doors open and windows down so the thieves can help themselves to what they want.

Aren't other states doing the same?
Yeah. And that's what I don't get.
You can't get insurance for these, the resale value tanked. That's going to be the last time you ever buy a Hyundai/Kia product.
They need to recall these vehicles and make them insurable.

In this case that would be the whole car.

Used car market for those models just collapsed.
Those Messicans are buying duct tape by the case to get ready for all their "IN TOW" signs on the back glass

How would you like to be the owner of a Kia or Hyundai franchise right now?

This is going to be a battle Royale between the LA car dealers association lobbyists and the insurance lobbyists

Are they still selling 2021 new models? Other than those what's the problem?

Don’t be a smooth brain. This actually benefits everyone that doesn’t drive those models.

Seems like I have seen Hyundais and KIAs bundled together in a rolling convoy heading to Mexico. j/s.
Posted on 2/2/23 at 11:10 pm to Schmelly
They need to set up Bait Kias. Units when started with a USB trap or maim the occupant.

For real. I tried to tell that to my customer today when I was writing her a check for a hotel to stay in while her house cooled down. It has been on fire earlier but too bad she was scammed. Now, my company is going to pay her over $500k to rebuild her house. Such a scam.

Why did they not have some kind of interlock feature like every other car?
To be fair, the Koreans never imagined anybody would actually want to steal their cars.

Their used inventory from those years affected, and any future vehicles that may come from individuals trading up to a newer model year.
