Best Friend's Kid Seeing His Grandfather's Spirit

My best friend shared this with me the other day and it gave me chills so I thought I'd share.
My best friend has a son who is 3 years and he has only met his Grandfather (best friend's dad) twice in his life, once at 6 months old and then again on Christmas Eve. He said the boy spent time with his Grandfather that night but he was more interested in the toys, sweets, and cartoons like kids are.
Well, a week later my best friend's father passes away suddenly. The boy's parents made it a point to not bring it up or speak about anything related to it or death in general around the kids for now.
The next day after his Grandfather's passing the boy and his parents are on an afternoon stroll around the lake in the middle of the neighborhood when the boy starts pointing to the middle of the lake and says its Grandpa.
The parents are confused and ask the boy: Do you Pawpaw Jimmy?(best friend's step dad). The boy says no. Then they ask you see Pawpaw (Mom's dad) in the lake? The boy says no. So they finally ask "You see Grandfather...the man who you saw on Christmas Eve? The boy responds YES! So, the parents then ask well if you see your Grandfather wave to him. The boy does and says Grandpa is waving back. They let is be and continue their walk.
Later that evening they are all standing around the island in the kitchen preparing dinner when they ask their son "what was your Grandfather wearing in the middle of the lake and what was he doing?" The boy responds "He was standing on the water wearing a white costume" They ask him "did your Grandfather say anything to you?" The toddler said Grandpaw said he was going to always protect me, mommy, daddy, baby sister, and the dog, but he had to go be with God for now.
That was it...it's been almost a month since that all happened and the boy hasn't mentioned it again, almost like he has completely forgot about it ever happening.
Maybe it's just me but it sent chills up my spine when he told me that story.
CSB and no pics of the boy's mom
EDIT: It wasn't the vax. The Grandfather drank like a fish, ate red meat everyday, and always carried.
Sandy's in Erwinville is going to miss him

there's already a thread for this baw
ETA: The boy's parents made it a point to not bring it up or speak about anything related to it or death in general around the kids for now.
this is really fricked up but it seems to be commonplace these days

I heard a similar story with an old boss. Company I worked for owner died and a few days after his funeral, his wife is watching their 3-year-old granddaughter and suddenly she hears her talking to someone.
She asked her who she was talking to, she said paw-paw, he's standing right here on the stairs.

Children are far more in tune with the eternal dimension because they have only been in their human soul capsules for a short period of time and are still much closer to the Source (aka God) than everyone else.
The older you get, the further away you get from it.

I saw this one. Spoiler alert, but your friend was dead the whole time.

I had an “imaginary friend” that I played with pretty much constantly from around age 2-5. One day I told my mom that he died and I never mentioned him again.
I think it could have been a deceased family member.

When my youngest was 3 my two kids, sister, and I went to a family reunion in Morgan City. On the way back the little one starts talking to the space next to his car seat. After a couple of minutes we asked who he was talking to and he said Grandpa. My father died two years before my little one was born, and his other grandfather was alive.
Creeped me TF out.

There's so much weird stuff that we can't explain. This seems to be so commonplace, but no one really talks about it. There was a documentary on a kid who had a previous life as a WWII vet, and knew people and where planes had crashed.

Always find this to be fascinating. Why does life's design include an evolving brain, from birth and through life?
LINK
Sensorimotor stage: Birth to 2 years
Preoperational stage: Ages 2 to 7
Concrete operational stage: Ages 7 to 11
Formal operational stage: Ages 12 and up
I used to test these stages with my kids as they grew up. Interesting stuff...to see, for example, Concrete was a family fav.
Ask your 7-11 yo if they would break into a drug store to get medicine that you cannot afford to save your life. You may not be happy with their answer, but you will certainly understand their view point of the world given the brain stage they are in. And many more examples...
Preoperational stage helps explain at least the view point of the 3yo in OP's case.
