That’s why and I agree. And I’m sure that Bama would also like for him to go pro.

I just believe we are wasting WR talent with Daniels at the QB.

Its interesting that so many who love CBK believe he completely sucks at QB evaluation but won't just come out and say it.

"Beating Bama is a big deal"

So is being able to pass consistently instead of only passing for 90yds against teams we are supposed to beat.

Because everyone is tired of screaming “throw the damn ball” every time he drops back

"We should then be looking for more of what we want in a OC and qb coach for the future."

Denbrook is not the problem. There were guys open on many plays he called but the QB didn't see them or throw it. I'm not going to judge his play calling just yet because we don't have a true pocket passer at the moment and he probably can't open up the playroom like he wants with JD. I evaluate him after 2 or 3 full seasons, not 1 with all new players. Don't think that's a fair evaluation for his 1st year.

I don't get it either.

A 5th year Senior QB who has played in or started 42 games!!!

1,094 passing attempts. 705 Completions with 8,798 yards 48 TD's against 16 Interceptions.

He also has 2,106 rushing yards.

No - he's not perfect, but... Jeez. He's pretty damn good, and I'll bet he improves with a 2nd season in our system.

The "coded" reasons for wanting Nuss are the same reasons they loved Bech and wished him nothing but love and admiration.

Ole Miss is the Rebels and they recruit well enough for their level as a football program. We will be fine lol

I'm sorry, but the Bama win--as absolutely, indescribably fricking awesome as it was--is massively screwing with people's evaluations of Jayden Daniels and the 2022 LSU offense. Specifically, the fact that the Alabama game ended the way it did and the fact that it came on the heels of a pair of games against maybe the two worst non-vandy defenses in the SEC fooled a lot of people into thinking this was a good offense. But keep in mind that even against bama it was the defense that kept us in it--we scored 17pts in the first 58min of regulation.

Bottom line is that the season-end numbers for both Daniels and the offense as a whole are wildly inflated by the fact that we absolutely FEASTED on a handful of horrendous defenses (Southern, New Mexico, UAB, Florida, and Ole Miss).

In 5g against horrendous defenses, here are Daniels's numbers:
78% comp
262yds/gm passing
10.1yds/att
17 total TD / 0INT

Now, in the 7 games we played against defenses with a pulse, here are the numbers:
63% comp
179yds/gm passing
5.7yds/att
9 total TD / 2INT

In the 7 games against defenses that weren't absolutely horrendous, here is how many points the offense scored in regulation: 23, 31, 14, 13, 24, 13, 23. That's an average of 20.1pts/gm.

Do you guys really think that's gonna be enough next year with the losses we've got on the defensive side of the ball? Hell, do you really think it'd be enough even if we DIDN'T lose anything on defense? 2023 aint a transition year anymore. We've got much bigger goals entering next season than we did entering 2022.

What if teams want him now. He needs to decide if he is truly ready. No point in fans getting upset. It's not our decision to make.

Because LSU is loaded at receiver and Daniels can’t find an open receiver if his first read isn’t open. He also cannot throw someone open. He waits until they get open and then throws it.

This is a very good point. If I were a receiver at LSU...I'd like a Brett Favre type qb slinging it out to me. The only thing that I hope Nuss would do in the off season is to learn to read the defense better. What makes him good...also makes him bad at times.

People are fricking retarded. If we don’t have Daniels, LSU doesn’t beat Auburn, State and Ole Miss.

Amazing how quickly you people forget about how Daniels led a 99 yard drive to tie the FSU game with time expiring only for our incompetent special teams to frick us. LSU wins that game in OT because of Daniels. I swear we have a segment of our fan base that are the most ungrateful fricks ever.

Simple: He has shown what he has. The NFL wants it. Get paid. In my humble opinion, Jaden is a fantastic team player and leader but doesn't have what it takes (yet) to bring the best out of our VERY talented WR room. The other 2 have the arms for it.
If he leaves, it is RS Soph Nuss & RS Fresh Howard. If Nuss wins, Howard will probably wait a yr to transfer. If Howard wins, Nuss will transfer and Ricki is on deck.

Good point. For all we know, this Purdue game could be the turning point like UCF was for Burrow.
