Oh, that's the fun part. I DO know. I will leave it there.

Yet, you still see, week after week, terrible calls made by the same terrible officials. Yeah, they may put a "better" team out for the playoffs, but then you still have a LOT of examples like the Saints/Rams games a few years ago.

PS - In a few weeks, a guy with a beard won't come down your chimney with gifts. If you have kids, I strongly recommend buying their Santa gifts yourself.

That was an egregious miss. I think we all know that.

egregious misses all the times. What are the consequences? Did the NFL punsish the refs? Did the NFL apologize? Did the NFL reverse the game and an entire organization's future path moving forward and award them a super bowl? What the frick came from out? A shite grin and more nfl ram pandering.

Wasn't the first time Tom Brady was allowed to frick the Saints on the final play of the game either.

I'm pretty sure that they were disciplined, but frankly we aren't entitled to know.

Now you're being ridiculous. I'm out.

I wish that just one time, the Saints would walk off the field in the middle of the game after one of these repeatedly ridiculous calls and publicly announce that they are not coming back on the field until the NFL does something about officiating incompetence/corruption.

I mean at this point, what's the worst thing that could happen--they miss the playoffs? How many draft picks do they have left to steal like they did for the "COVID celebration or Bountygate?"

Most people who mess up that bad at work would lose their jobs.

The fact that refs cannot be criticized without retribution is also the problem.

Fricking this. It makes no sense to me that players and coaches are fined for criticizing officials.

They need to be significantly less theatrical , there are 130-150 plays a game, officials each have multiple responsibilities when ever players are on the field. Pre snap, during the play and dead ball. Players nor coaches never go a whole game without multiple mistakes or missed assignments……,

Some of you criticizing couldn’t go a whole quarter just counting players and subs, much less confirming eligibles and legal formations……and that’s the easy part… add in covering about 4 miles a game. Players need to shut up and play ball.

This doesn't mean anything. Let's be honest here. Sure, they may not get a postseason assignment, but they are well paid and in zero danger of losing their jobs
This presupposes there are better refs out there that can take these jobs.

Sure, refs miss some egregious calls here and there, but it's just like a player can miss a wide open layup or drop an easy TD pass.

Officiating NFL or NBA seems like an absurdly hard job. There's a million rules and multiple things you have to watch for and it's basically impossible to not miss multiple calls every single game.

Well at least one of the crew leaders only got his job just because his daddy did it before him. How fortunate for him.

They should be fined just like the player, coaches, and owners.

Surprised Belichek didn’t take advantage of this yet.

Yet? Brady made this an art when he was in New England

I was embellishing somewhat, but borderline holds happen on pretty much every play and if we were to call all.of those the games would be 4 hours long.

The saints have literally never lost a game without the refs help. Conspiracy against Drew Brees from overtaking the GOATS from his generation (Manning, Brady, Rodgers - all Super Bowl winners AND have MVPs)

The question is if it directly affects the play at the POA or is it on the opposite side of the play and has no bearing.

without the hold on that rams drive, baker is likely sacked and facing 3rd and 18+
