I'm fine with that. As long as they aren't going to an AL team or the Dodgers that's okay by me

I'm gonna assume both are Dodgers until I hear different. Don't feel like getting hurt...

The little engine that can't. Melvin being there reinforces that.

If you are just wanting to rid him go try and find a lottery ticket prospect from someone.

A handful of contending teams needed another SP, but there were several SPs on the market so no one was willing to give up even a lottery ticket.

So, salary dump for RP dump. Win/win? Lose/lose? I don't know yet.

Must be a joke. The utter disrespect to Jayden Murray.

Find this hard to believe, they were able to flip Jose Siri for a lottery ticket. Some desperate team surely would have come off a middling prospect to add big league SP depth

Hopefully Smith is at worst serviceable and it works out.

When is a good time to discuss the real main storyline from today: Me having to take the colonoscopy prep meds for my colonoscopy tomorrow?

In a vacuum, Smith is the perfect change of scenery candidate like that bitch Joe LaForce was last year.

Yea, don't get me wrong I've already convinced myself he will be fixed because of my big dumb homer brain

Siri is a bit of a lottery ticket himself, with years of control.

Still surprised we ended up getting Mancini and a solid pitching prospect for Siri and McDermott. That was a win.

I don’t the trade moves any sort of needle in terms of team performance at all. Odorizzi was/is mediocre without a role here in a few weeks, highly unlikely to be on a playoff roster. I seriously doubt Smith is on their playoff roster. They were just moving money around for next year I think.

Watching the Astros offense should have the same effect. No need for meds.

Yea I get that, but I guess you aren't moving Odo's money without taking on some money in return. That's a good point

The unconditional love of Maldanado by so many Astros fans (and a lot of media for that matter) is remarkable.

Cluck is trying to be diplomatic by using the workload excuse as to the need for Vazquez but it’s pretty clear he will be having a chat with FODB about playing time.

MM should be playing day games after night games and maybe serving as personal catcher for one starter.
