Why would ND want to do that? They get to keep all the NBC money from football for themselves and share the revenue from all the other sports with the ACC. Them joining a conference for football doesn't make any sense to me.

Because the NBC money aint shite compared to what the B1G is about to get. They are currently going through their media rights deal that will dwarf even what the SEC is getting. The B1G is about to have NYC and LA...ND wont have any other choice!!! Go look at what those Ohio State vs ND tickets are going for right now.

I'd rather we go back to 12 team conferences.

This is out of control.

Big Ten knows the SEC has the potential to become a super conference by poaching Ohio State, Clemson, Notre Dame, etc.

it was already a super conference decades ago. It's a super duper conference now with fricking 16 teams. Why in the everloving hell would we add even more teams? What would be the point of having a quarter of 1A teams all in the SEC?

For travel purposes should the Big 10 target teams like Oregon, Washington, Colorado, Or Utah?

Or should they take a shot at North Dakota State

I'll still watch the games, but my interest outside of gameday has fallen to nearly zero.

ETA: LSU and Tennessee games. I've stopped watching games I don't have a personal tie to several years ago.

Yep, give me the Big Ten without Rutgers/Maryland and the SEC without Missouri/Texas/Oklahoma/A&M.

This is ridiculous and we're losing the essence of college football because of some money-hungry people.

I get there have been some dumb moves and some great rivalries that have been ruined over conference expansion that CFB is worse off for.

But is it really all that bad getting less LSU/Miss St or Ohio State/Indiana and getting more LSU and Bama playing Texas/OU while OSU and Michigan playing USC/UCLA

This makes zero sense for other sports though.

We need four 16 team conferences.

Top 2 teams in each conference go to an 8 team playoff for the natty.

No more conference championship games.

Realignment ruined CFB long before NIL did.
