The police are doing what they've been conditioned to do, on a societal level. Sit back and do nothing, exploiting the "no obligation to protect" loophole. Over the last 3 years, there've been like 50 frickin cities where cops were ordered to stand down and watch as antifa and BLM burn shite down and attack people.

How is it an impossible situation? if you consider it impossible, shouldn't you turn in your badge? You have a gun on your hip, and train with it regularly. If you aren't the one who should be going in and stopping the slaughter of these elementary kids, who should it be? You can't just stand out there until the fricking animal runs out of ammo.

The Media Is Starting To Turn on the Responding Law Enforcement Officers
So are most people on this board.
What's your point?

We found the criminal in the thread. Assuming multiple arrests.
By the way, responding cops are not supposed to just run into the building when they show up. There are such things as multiple shooters and scopes for rifles. Their lives are important too.

More important than the children being slaughtered while they listen to it happen? Someone should be running into the building to put a stop to it, as soon as humanly possible. If not the cops, who?

The team that is trained to enter the building and sweep. You guys think this is the military. All cops are not trained on clearing a building. If all cops were trained like that, there would be no need for SWAT, etc.

If it's an impossible situation for the on scene law enforcement then why in the hell hold up a parent who doesn't have to follow some fricking protocol in order to try and save a life.

I'm sure SWAT has it's place, but if that means cops sit around with their dicks in their hands while kids are being slaughtered, then why even respond? Just wait for the perpetrator to run out of ammo, and hit him with a traffic violation as he's leaving.

First off after many of these school shootings, the police are not supposed to wait outside.
A guy who hasn't started shooting yet then stayed executing kids and teachers while the police waited on sat which will take a long time to arrive.
This whole thing is literally crazy.
I am the first to support cops most of the time. However this shooting is going to disappear because the cops totally fricked up.
People are going to say you can't trust the police to protect you or even kids. In fact they may stop you from protecting your kids.
I understand don't rush in clubs if you think it is going to be a hostage situation. The minute he stays shooting they are supposed to enter.
They didn't.

Absent a clear case of cowardice, it looks to me the officers were following regulations based on information they knew about the shooting at the time
No. Stop.

No one knows if this is true. Everyone needs to take a breath here. The last I read was that most of the kids were shot prior to LEO arriving. So they didnt hear shots to cause them to immediately eneter. Then one LEO yelled into the classroom, heard the guy shoot a girl and immediately busted into the room and shot the evil bastard.
That was an account of a 4th grader that survived the event.

Then they need to fricking quit if they don’t want to do their damn job.
You going to defend these pieces of shite not going in to help kids in peril?
More and more police showing their true colors.

Most of the reports out there look pretty damn bad for the responding officers.
Because a lot of cops now have no business being a cop.
It’s a result of the left’s war on police. They are scraping the bottom of the barrel for officers.

That may be accurate, but doesn't sound right either. Why would a cop be yelling, giving up his position and causing kids to do the same (if they had one) when he doesn't see the shooter or hasn't eliminated the threat. Heat of the moment, I guess, but either earlier in this thread or another on it makes it sound like he helped get that little girl killed.
