Secretariat has been trending on Twitter since yesterday because someone with a lot of followers shared a clip of the Belmont Stakes

I played on a basketball team that won a game 46-3. Secretariat was nice, but 46-3?

My second favorite line made by a commentator in sports history, only Al Michaels and his, "Do you believe in miracles? YES!" line was better.

As dominant as Secretariat was, I’ll take 2000 US Open Tiger Woods every day of the week.

While true, I'm most impressed with him going from last to first in the first turn of the Preakness. That was an amazing burst on a fresh field early in the race.

Kind of amazing that Secretariat was challenged by arguably the second fastest horse of all time. Timing is everything. At another time Sham might have also won the triple crown.

I played on a team where we were down 32-4 at the half...and came back to win the game.

My Michaels line, at the end of the Hearns’ fight
“and It’s Hagler! Full of blood”

Speaking of triple crown winners, I once owned a race horse that was a descendent of Alydar. Alydar came in second in every triple crown race behind Affirmed. When my horse ran, he took off in the 4th race and came in first in the fifth race!

My sophomore year all the starters plus two mor seniors where suspended for the first half… halftime score was 37-7… we came back and won 60-50… played the same team in first round of playoffs and lost by 7 points with everyone contributing the whole game

never noticed there were six horses in the second lrg and five horses in the third leg

very small fields make for clean record setting runs

Yep, Sham was easily a triple crown winner any other year.
