I have never been on a cruise and am wondering if there is one that isn’t considered trashy or requires my own yacht.

Rent a personal yacht that’s fully staffed if you want a non trashy boating experience.
Wait, you’re not poor are you?

Disney Cruises are mostly non-trashesque because you spend enough money to rise above the standard cruise types. I think that's about it.

The real question is why would anyone want to go on a cruise

Guy I work with swears on these Alaskan cruises him and his ex wife used to take every year
But knowing this guy makes me feel like they are trashy too. He also plays the worse golf courses he can find here in the Bay Area. I’m probably been more judgmental than I should

Like flying in coach and laying across seats if you've bought every ticket on the plane.

That’s what I’ve heard about D cruises. Not bad at all.

I think there are some European cruises that are supposed to be nicer, but I don’t ever intend to find out.

Some of the small boat river cruises are relatively non trashy but all old people
Any boat full of younger people will be trashy

Yes.
Lines like Oceiana, Silversea, Regent, and Seabourne aren’t trashy.

My folks flew to Singapore and got on a cruise that ended in Italy. They loved it. They've also cruised to Antarctica and to New Zealand. They don't do Gulf and Caribbean cruises because they consider them trashy.
