Depending on how dry the air is tonight and tomorrow, it might not be as bad as you think. A lot of times the melt day evaporates a lot of it away, but with it covered with snow that will take a little longer.

Right. I just feel like a lot of people once it’s above freezing think there is no chance of ice and start driving 80 mph when there is a chance of black ice forming from the melt re-freezing.

It hasn't been able to wrap up yet, but it looks "better" on Reflectivity than the other storm ever did.

So it looks like this thing is petering out. Chances it fires back up tomorrow?

SPC has a Marginal Risk for the Savannah area tomorrow. I haven't looked much into the particulars.

Hell, it must have wrapped up right after I looked at it. Is that the time stamp from earlier? That wasn't just a few minutes ago, was it?

Only heard of some limbs trees & awnings so far on our side of the lake. Debris signature was very pronounced on the Titus side.

Hopefully there's no significant home damage and no injuries. These are the ones that can sneak up on folks.

Where was the fatality in West AL?

It now sleeting pretty good here (temp is 26) so hopefully a changeover to snow soon.

I stepped outside to see how slick it was and watched a salt/plow truck slide off our road and almost take out a light post.

Roads should be good tomorrow. I’m more worried about the ice after the melt tomorrow and freeze at night.

Leaving in the morning to drive from BR to eastern Kansas. Should be interesting going through Arkansas
