Bash me, I don't care. I got word today at 8:29 AM that we are in and MIZZ is out. Announcement will not happen until after the weekend. Also wed are going to vote to waive the exit time, and will abstain from the increase of exit fees, which has no prayer at passing. Bash me all you want, but this is whats happening

It will be Mizzou..

Academics will win out UNLESS Mizzou decided to stay in the Big 12...

The only way that could happen is if Mizzou has formally told Slive they are staying in the big 8.

Makes no sense for WV getting in over Mizzou. Mizzou has the advantage in TV market, academics and teeth count.

This is about the 20th time WVU boards have claimed they're in and Mizzou out. So sorry if I don't care about what they have to say anymore.

What makes you think WVU would be a candidate then? Florida State would be the pick.

I don't care who it is as long as it ends pretty quick as far as the SEC is concerned....I'm kind of growing tired of expansion.

I'm ready for it to be over, and with the SEC at no more than 14 teams and no less than 13 teams.

No, the Mountaineer fan has a point. WVU could get in over Mizzou if they are available to start SEC play at the same time TAMU is.

I still hold out hope the SEC goes to 16 teams, and renegotiates with CBS/ESPN for INSANE TV money.

Bean-counting isn't all there is to SEC football. Excitement, football tradition, rabid fanbases, national exposure are all integral parts of the whole fabric. WVU has it, Mizzou hasn't got it. I wouldn't be totally surprised if the OP is correct. Gut feelings mean something sometimes, that's all. Besides, the SEC is already in a great position to renegotiate a dynamite TV contract.

Don't forget how much hotter the Mizzou girls seems compare to the WVU girls. That's a huge selling point right there!

The last time I looked it takes more than 1 vote (even if that vote is from a coach...who doesn't vote)to get an invite.

Rules might have changed, but I doubt it.

If I was Mizzou and the newly formed big 12 agreement with equal tv money etc. I'd stay in the big 12. They would become an afterthought in the sec. They are up there with okie state as the third best program in the conference once A&M leaves. In the SEC they are way in the back of the line.

Why even post this blatant speculation?
