The only explanation on why they care so much is because TAMU is going to be part of a superior conference and UT will be left with OU and some slappies. UT didn't get their way for once in their life and now they are flipping out, its the biggest bunch of cry babies ever. Coming up with all these reasons why its stupid for TAMU to leave.

Barry, how do you know that Texas U isnt hoping that TAMU leaves? Reading some of their boards, the consensus seems to be that Texas wants to be separated from TAMU almost as much.

The internet fans do.

Who knows what the ones who actually control things want. I don't think they'd want to see A&M leave them for the SEC and start bringing that to TVs here, but who knows.

Once you realize that Longhorns are bred, in every situation, to spout rhetoric and "spin" then you'll understand everything.

Have a vagina for QB in the National Championship game? Spin.

Have a $300M TV network "hooker" on the side while expecting the rest of the conference to "stay married"? Spin.

Have your in-state rival beat you (since scholarship limitations came in in 1975) more than you've beat them? Spin.

Get a case of the red-arse because that same conference rival is trying to join a "big boy" conference? Spin, spin, spin.

It's all they know.

The idea of an aggie taking a shot at Texas over what happened in a national title game is beyond bizarre.

This is from Bill Byrne's Weekly Wednesday from 6/16/20:

quote:

Statement One: Texas is going to have a cable channel like the Big Ten Network that will give them even more money and recruiting advantages. After all, it was reported in orangebloods.com and many media outlets picked it up, so it must be true. Here are the facts. The bottom line is NOTHING HAS CHANGED! They could have had their own network for the last 14 years of the Big 12 and so could we or any member of the conference. Our friends have been bringing their Longhorn Sports Network television mic flags around for years. Their stand alone network has still not happened yet. ABC/ESPN and FOX continue to have rights to the league's vast inventory of home football, men's basketball, and women's basketball games. For specific's regarding the Big 12 TV Contracts, click here. There are quite a few baseball and softball games, tennis matches, swim meets, women's basketball and even a few men's basketball and football games that are not selected by ESPN and Fox Sports. And it's those contests, and only those contests, which may be broadcast on a school's own network. We call it a third-tier network. We broadcast many of these contests for free on our Aggies All-Access website powered by CBS Sports. I'm proud to say we have more viewers of our contests than the next three CBS Sports powered websites combined. In effect, that is our Aggie Network and we offer it to you for free around the world. When we built the 12th Man Productions facilities, our plan was all along to eventually put together an Aggie Network. We are better positioned than any other conference school to do it. Having said that, we would still need to invest millions of dollars to hire the staff, and purchase the equipment and air time to do our own network. And while we would have some live programming from what ABC/ESPN and Fox Sports did not select, the bulk of programming would be replays of recent games and rebroadcasts of historical games. Even ESPN does not have enough live programming to fill its' schedule each day. That's why the Aggie Network is still on the internet. Today, the financial numbers simply do not work in our favor to produce 168 hours of TV every week. If you think about it, a separate school network does not work unless it's public television, and they need all kinds of institutional and federal government funding. Last time I checked, the college athletic departments are not eligible.

I shouldn't have called Colt a vagina, he just made a "business decision."

true. McCart can't take shots though

Whorns are high on arrogance though. Having a care-free attitude about losing conference members is so stupid. The Big12 is the biggest joke in football now. You chased off Nebraska and Arkansas, and you think that's okay. Now you chase off A&M and you think that's okay. What the hell is wrong with you?! Your stupid arrogant attitude and failure network are destroying Texas football tradition and great conferences.

EDIT: Changed to second person possessive for the douche below me. God forbid spelling/grammar errors.

Dr. Drunkenstein...you Longhorns are the biggest bunch of pussies in college football. Bunch of arrogant asses that think ya'll invented NCAA football. The SEC would railroad your arse everyday. And don't come back with academics...we have some fine institutions.

Welcome aTm...glad you had the nuts to leave your, what appears to be, jealous older brother. The same arrogant asses that only speak of Oklahoma as their rival.

I think the most telling thing has been the fact they are trying to end our series, like crybaby bitches.
They didn't get their way and now they are taking their ball and going home.

Dr. D - you are correct Ags talking about NC games is novice at best, but speaking about Colt not finishing big games, we are experts.

Fact.

I've never actually seen this used the wrong way. It's always "your" in place of "You're," not the other way around. You guys really are backwards.

What'd you expect them to say.... "Please please please don't leave!!!" Of course many of them act like they don't care if A&M leaves. I would too.

It's obvious Texas fans are not comfortable with A&M to the SEC. Certainly a lot worse things could happen to UT, but regardless UT fans don't like anything that give A&M the spotlight or even the potential to have the spotlight.

All of Dr. Drunkensteins posts on this forum are quintessential examples of the arrogant, entitled, out of touch teasip mindset. Blame Colorado, blame Nebraska, now blame A&M....but their is only 1 school responsible for the demise of the bevo12.

The arrogance and sense of entitlement from sip fans is astonishing.. it really is. "We're Texas

damn, I was going to say the exact thing 99% of you already posted - well said everyone

One of the worse things about Longhorn's unsubstantiated bravado is that they cant see the forest for the trees. Make no mistake, they are butt-hurt, and the more they try and spout off rhetoric about how "it doesnt matter", and "they dont care", it only re-strengthens the notion that they are more disturbed by this than they care to admit.

I wish some of you couldve heard Goeff Ketchum yesterday eating crow when the LHN launched with about as much fanfare as your weekly garbage pick-up. It was awesome

and I loved it
