Without a doubt a great university. Nice campus and great academics. I have been up to the campus once, but it has been awhile. Would love to see it now.

You all do have a great campus, been there a few times and really enjoyed it

However, no one in the SEC will really care about the aesthetics of your campus. They care about your football team, or lack there of.

Really Rickie? What has Missouri ever done to you for you to be so present on the board constantly taking shots at Missouri?

5 first round draft picks in the last 5 NFL drafts.
40 wins over the last 4 years prior to this year.
finished in the top 20 3 out of the last 4 years and once in the top 5.

Bad teams don't do those things no matter what you think. I know this as an MU fan because the truth is from not long after Dan Devine left in 1970 until Gary Pinkel was hired Missouri made all the mistakes possible in hiring coaches and basically sucked. Missouri's football program under Gary Pinkel has been pretty good. Is Missouri an Elite program? No but they aren't and haven't been a bad program.

This year has been a tough year with a young inexperienced QB and several of our loses go back to mistakes Franklin made that experienced QB's don't make.

As for the move to the SEC. Anyone knows that Missouri is going to have to adjust and improve on the defensive side of the game. We know it's going to be harder to win in the SEC but at least give us some credit as we're going to try and step up and compete on a larger scale than before. Why not show the class that your Football coach showed when he said He's going to miss MU and that it just didn't seem right to think of them leaving but he wished them well.

We all know it's going to be harder to recruit Texas but Gary Pinkel has proven he can recruit and he will just have to recruit from other areas as well as Texas. I'm sure he will try and schedule some Texas schools on their OOC schedule. One thing he can also do when he's sitting there talking to a kid is say look at my record and you can see my program puts players in the NFL. That is as big a draw to a kid who wants to move to the next level as anything.

Rickie you're school is having a great year and has a chance of playing in the BCS championship game if they win out so enjoy it. I know how that feels as we Missouri fans went through that in 2007 and was 1 win away until Oklahoma beat us in the Big 12 championship game. Why spew venom about Missouri all the time just wish us luck and leave it be.

Lots of Mizzou upgrades since I went there. Get ready for the onslaught of SEC fans though, you all are in for a shock.

I don't understand the view of some fans/media members....basically, their idea is that unless you dominate your current conference, you shouldn't be allowed to leave. The theory goes, that since Nebraska/CU/A&M/Mizzou can't win consistently in the Big 12, they are stupid for leaving, and other conferences are stupid for wanting them.

Huh?

The other puzzling part of this mindset believes that the SEC is made up 100% of Bama/LSU/UF caliber programs, and any new member who is not currently this caliber has no business joining.

Did they forget about MSU, Ole Miss, UK, Vandy? And sometimes UT, USC, Arkansas? Hell, even AU and UF are pretty average this year.

A&M and Mizzou will both settle into the middle-upper middle of the pack in the SEC, and both were middle of the pack in the Big 12. So what?

Both are also capable of leveraging the fact that they are in the best conference in America into more success than they've experienced in the Big 12. The only way to find out is to play the games on the field and see what happens.

I don't see why SOME fans want a TOUGH team to join. Hell LSU already have a tough schedule compared to rinky dinks like Oklahoma State(ranked high and nobody even talks about them), Stanford, Boise State, etc. Those guys have an easy route to the National Title compared to LSU. Yeah lets add tougher competition to an already hard schedule.

My realistic expectation is for A&M to be what Arkansas is in the SEC; bowl every year, division threat every 5ish years, 10 win season every 4-5 years. I don't think that is a delusional goal considering our facilities/money/fan support/location in the middle of as good of recruiting grounds as you will find.

IF we get to that level, we'll think about greater goals.

If that makes me and other Aggies delusional, then I guess I'm just delusional.
