No, I sure cant. But I do know how locker rooms are and if there were 5 players involved more than 5 players and coaches knew about it. And way before a year went past. If you can't understand that, oh well. But hey hire him. It will make it that much easier for Saban to dominate.

It does seem slimy. But if Briles truly covered it up he would have been arrested.
Whoever hires Briles will need to rationalize a lot of stuff that's been reported. That's a pretty low bar to set - since he wasn't arrested then he must not have covered it up (which actually isn't even legally accurate).
LSU can hire whoever they want. Personally, I don't see Briles wanting to go be an OC at a school unless he thinks he can quickly jump to another HC position (at that school or another). O better look over his shoulder if Briles is there. I just think LSU can do better.

I said and think the same thing. If Briles isn't tainted goods why isn't he being mentioned for more head coaching positions. If he was wrongfully terminated why isn't a school lime Oregon or even LSU didn't look at him for HC? I mean if he did nothing wrong what am I missing?

They were talking on Houston radio this afternoon about Art Briles, saying there is no way he will ever get a head coaching job again. Surprisingly, they were talking a lot about LSU as well. I just think the dirty rotten air around Briles is still too strong for anyone to give him a job yet.

I'm not going to go that far but and Briles may not be innocent.. but there certainly isn't damning evidence against him. That being said.. that's his ship. It's his job to know.

You might want to take a look at his record against top 25 teams. I think it's like 2 and 21. I don't think us gumsters are skeered. But if you think people are laughing at your program now because your AD didn't press a little harder to get a bigger named coach. Oh nevermind....

Ltown_tiger, "consensual"? So tell me how the gang rape went down, being consensual and all. Tell me how the rapes went down that sent to football players to prison. Being arrested seems to be your save all when it comes to him being innocent. Was JoPa ever arrested, and it's come out that the campus police AND JoPa knew about that for over a year. Go watch the 60 Minutes story on this. That will remove all doubts that Briles did not know what was going on AND covered it up. Reading here, it seems like Briles was the victim !

sorry but 1 news source, which is meant to bring ratings, would not be the only source i make an opinion on.
im not saying the sex was consensual because yea people are in prison. after reading other sources on the timeline of events, its not so cut and dry like youre making it out to be. you looked at one 60 minutes segment and made up your mind to string him up
