Well if it wasn't consensual then it was rape. End of story. Now, the question is, when did Briles know about it? I find it very difficult to believe that 5 football players gang banged 1 chick and nobody else on the football team knew about it. Come on. You can't be that dense?

In today's day and age, a healthy dose of skepticism is a good thing.
Remember when the Duke Lacrosse team gang raped some prostitute? Oh wait, that's not actually what happened.
Remember when poor old Michael Brown was shot in the back while his hands were in the air by that police office in Ferguson? Oh wait, that's not actually what happened either.
Maybe Art knew his players were guilty of rape, and maybe he didn't know. The one thing I do know is this, no one on this board knows exactly what he knew and when he knew it.
You Briles bashers are simply buying into the media narrative, and as illustrated above, that is sometimes a mistake.

Girls tells her coach she was raped
Coach tells athletic director
Coach tells Briles after athletic director knows
Briles says to have them arrested
Briles says for the girl to go to the police
Girl decides not to go to police
Girl tells people that Briles encouraged her to go but she declined and she admitted that he was supportive of her
Briles cant go to the police himself. These are college kids, not 7th graders. Im not saying he shouldnt have done more but to say he knew about it and turned a blind eye and protected the players is wrong. The other two players that came to the school who were accused of crimes never played a down.

Few things wrong with this post here, besides it all being assumptions.
I dont know any rapists, but I imagine they dont go around bragging about raping people. If 5 guys went around bragging about gang raping a girl, thats going to hit a few too many ears to keep it under wraps.
If they just talked about gangbanging a girl, thats a different animal. It would take the girl coming out and saying something for it to come to light.
So, I think you may be reaching to think Briles knew about it but decided to not do anything until the girls coach told him.
I just completely discredited your assumptions, which help form a strong opinion for yourself, in a few sentences.

Your assumptions that he didn't know are just as baseless as mine. 2 of his players went to jail for it.

I think LSU is better than Art Briles right now. Maybe Alabama fans think more of LSU, than some of the LSU fans do.

I said this in an earlier post and was called a liar. These programs were so similar in style of play during the Miles Era that one couldn't help but respect the way your teams always played Bama. Even this year, with Coach O. But if LSU was to hire Briles, that respect would be lost.
