Since most weekends we call these fans, I don't think it would used as negative recruiting. GANG RAPE has a different connotation when mentioned to a woman.

Was Art Briles indicted for acsessory to the fact or obstruction of justice? Again. For the second time. If he was guilty of covering up rape he would have been indicted for one or both of these crimes.

I assume you don't still think he is the scum of college football after your thread?

So you honestly don't think a coach would walk into a recruits house and mention that Briles was fired from his previous coaching job and 2 of his players are serving prison time for gang raping coeds? You naive?

Yes, I think your deplorable coach would do that. It just wouldn't matter. You want it to, though. I can tell.

Well we do know that 2 of his players are serving time for it. So there was evidence enough to convict. So how long might Briles have known about it before the girls coach brought it up to him. Players talk.

Y'all are desperate to put lipstick on this pig. We get it. Briles ain't lipstick, he'd be like rubbing shite all over your face. Step back. Take a breath.

There was enough evidence to convict the rapists.

No one can answer that on here, including you.

I'm sure it's not that bad. Oh wait, yes it is. I assume this has been posted in one of the many Briles threads here...
From Baylor itself.

To place the news accounts in context, here are the facts about the underlying report of sexual assault: In April 2013, a female student-athlete reported to her head coach that she had been sexually assaulted by five Baylor football players approximately one year earlier. The student-athlete provided her head coach with the names of the involved football players. The head coach immediately reported the assault, including the names of the reported players, to the then-Athletic Director, to the head football coach, and to the sports administrator for the female student-athlete's team. According to Baylor's investigation, neither the head coach, the Athletic Director, the sports administrator or the football coach disclosed the reported sexual assault to Baylor's Judicial Affairs or to anyone else outside of the Athletics Department.

And what's the rest of the story. No one knows. Maybe the AD said don't worry about it I'll take care of it. Belies says ok and goes about his business thinking that the AD would report it.
It does seem slimy. But if Briles truly covered it up he would have been arrested.

Why wouldn't female student-athletes head coach be the one to report that to Baylors Judicial Affairs or to someone outside the athletic department? I want Briles at LSU. He's not the one responsible for reporting an alleged crime. That would be the victim or her coach.
More importantly.. why on fricking earth would the girl not go to the police?

My God the melting on Briles is amazing. It's like fishing with dynamite.

The same Baylor that settled with Briles for ~20 million dollars?
With a case against Briles so bulletproof you'd have thought they would have told Briles that they'd see him in court.
