This would be my biggest hangup. It would be a gamble.

Yes, it would work. Urban set the precedent. Only difference is The Blur favors a Zone Blocking scheme over Trap/Buck system Urban used.

With SEC speed and talent, sure it would.

His problem was he couldn't recruit like Chip did. And when they had injuries, it was Katy bar the door for him.

Not a fan of that offense, that style hasn't won 1 NC yet!!! Really don't think it will happen at LSU either!

It has got them into the NC though. Vs Auburn in 2011 and vs Ohio St couple years ago...

Yes it can.
You can run the same plays, formations, alignments and motions. Just can't snap it every 17 seconds every drive. Needs to be run with less tempo. Bottom line: can definitely be successful

I think he will change his schemes to once he sees the size of these defensive lineman. They both use a lot of double teams to with the center. That won't change.

chip hates recruiting and most was done by his assistants.

He'll adapt his scheme to the SEC. I know LSU fans haven't seen an OC do that in a long time but it is possible

His previous two qbs were 1AA guys because he couldn't recruit and develop one. Alarming.

Well, when you run too much uptempo offense, your defense suffers due to too much time on the field.

Oregon also was never strong enough in the trenches and couldn't compete against the big power schools well.

Vernon Adams Jr was great until he got injured. And don't diss Adams, he would have started at LSU

I'm sorry but he didn't recruit and develop one single qb in his time as a head coach.

Justin Herbert actually did really well for a true freshman this year.

I think it was more of an indictment on Helfrich for selling out for Prukop when the better QB was already coming there...
