I don't think he would take the job. 2-4 more years of progression at UTSA and he'll be considered at some bigger HC jobs.

he doesnt need 2-4 more years for a bigger job.

he did a great job this year and if he wins 8+ next year he will be gone to a P5 school

Why would he want to be an OC right now?

He's a head coach. Not going backwards

Wilson has never been an OC before. I don't think LSU is the best 1st job as OC. For everyone melting over Ed O getting the HC job without being a DC, that would put them over the edge.

Nope. If he can continue the winning ways at UTSA, he'll get a better job. Maybe at an SMU, Fresno State, Temple, or Cincinnati-type place.

I don't see him leaving his first HC gig where he can continue building a program and putting himself in position for bigger roles, maybe following O if Frank has real success.

His OC is old Tulane and La Tech coach Frank Scelfo whose had a pretty decent career and developed a lot of familiar QB's like Blake Bortles, Nick Foles, Sean King, Patrick Ramsey, and J.P. Lossman

Frank will be the HC at SMU once Morris finally bolts.

Frank's never been an OC before, so I don't know. I do know that it would be terrible to hire an OC that has never been an OC before.

what is it with you people? Wilson is a head coach and isn't going backwards. Kiffin is only leaving Bama for a head coaching job.

Yes, I realize we all love our school and think it's the best destination in the country, but there are 127 other FBS teams out there. Guys have other ideas.

He has a good thing going with UTSA. I'm sure he wants to keep building that program as the head coach...to answer your question, though...no I don't think he'd be a terrible OC.

There isn't anything wrong with me. It was just a question asshat.

Everyone that's been an OC was never an OC before there first OC job.

I don't know anything about Franks offensive style or coaching ability. I only know that he's one of the best recruiters in the country and was highly thought of at LSU. Also worked with O at Ole Miss.

Let's be honest, an OC job at LSU is more highly thought of than HC job at UTSA. At least in my mind.

Why would LSU hire an unproven OC?

Frank Wilson Is on the verge of being the next Willie Taggert. The guy is a great coach and will have plenty top notch recruits wanting to play for him, especially from the New Orleans area.
