Agreed. I wouldn't wanna be the first major program to hire him.

I think Kirby is in a different mold than any of the others from the Saban coaching tree. If I'm Alabama I would probably prefer he have coached elsewhere first but I don't think that would or should eliminate him from consideration if Saban left.

I can see why Bama fans like Kirby. I don't know why Georgia fans don't.

I kinda wish he would've taken a smaller job with small expectations to set up a return to Bama when Saban leaves or retires. Maybe he still will.

just my opinion, but franklin has a ways to go before he's ready to handle the scrutiny of a major program... he comes across as immature in the way he deals with the media.

I lot of the things he does no one hears about b/c he's at vandy.

A ways to go? He has had 3 consecutive winning seasons at VANDERBILT. What else does he have to prove? That he can do it 4 times? 5 or 6? Does he have to win the East before people realize the guy has "it" ?

He comes across as immature? You ever seen a Nick Saban press conference? His attitude towards the media, in my opinion, has zero relevance. The guy WINS FOOTBALL GAMES.

If I'm Texas, he's not my first call but he is certainly on the short list. If I'm Florida, I would've already hired him.
