BP can you tell us why Haley is such a hot name? His resume doesn't look all that spectacular. Does he have a relationship with Miles or Chavis? Why is a guy who possibly be fired on the shortlist?

anything on the DBs coach? Does Chavis want to bring in his own guy or is it Joseph? or even someone that hasn't been mentioned?

UT fans as a whole seem to think Slade is a horrible coach

BP,

Are the assumptions about Chavis coaching LB's correct? IF so it indicates DL and DB coaches also needed (Haley, Joseph).

What about the Offensive side? OL coaching changes? Any others?

Special Teams coaching?

Is henson saying at recruiting coordinator now?

I think Chavis coached Haley at Alabama A&M. For some reason I seem to recall Haley's name being mentioned when Dunbar left.

I'm not familiar with his reputation as a recruiter.

doesn't really translate, does it? I mean lots of peeps in Miami weren't happy with Saban. Yesterday, we were ecstatic to get O, but Saints fans are pretty ambivalent about him.

Yeah, i dont know anything about him but if Lovie Smith thinks he's good enough to hire as NFL d line coach he must be ok.

Henson is projected to coach special teams I believe.

Max,

That big orange T is confusing a lot of people. I'll bet the Vol fans you flamed the other night don't get confused though.

Yes, I had heard that also. Just wondering if they do a little back pedalling now and keep him at RC or maybe dual hatted as ST/RC. Can't argue with his results in th erecruiting arena.

Agree. Can't see Les taking that away given a possible #1 recruiting class.

Did you see what Saint's HC Payton said about O? To paraphrase, he said that he was relieved to see coach O leave as he was becoming a distraction. Also, said that the defensive line did not progress as he had hoped and that the unit vastly underperformed. So, maybe we aren't missing out on much after all.

i'd think he could do both RC and ST. I mean it can't be that complex and time consuming to coach TEs and tell Miles when to call/not call timeouts.

I've already been corrected, and I apologized to Max. I was just looking at the the big orange T next to his name, and not paying attention to who he was.

You were right on with your caution yesterday before the story broke about O to Tenn. Thanks for the info.
