can't understand how you'd think that this would be good for LSU. I can understand being frustrated with our offense for he past 2 years, but still.

it is, but it is still an unknown...hence my kidding around with the Tuberville and Tommy Bowden comments. I guess some are in the "anything is better than Miles" camp, and others seem pretty certain that a top 5 name will be hired. My fear is that LSU will go cheap like they typically do and we'll end up with either an unknown or a retread like Tubby...

Why do people want Miles to go to Michigan right now? This would be the absolute worst time for him to leave. Plus, he would likely decline the offer anyway.

yep, people wanting a coach to leave after producing 10 wins or more in four out of six seasons. 9 wins or more in 5 out six seasons. a n.c., a s.e.c. championship, and played for it twice. Thaaaaaaaats smart!

can't wait to see the replacement who is going to exceed the above.

If Miles leaves for Michigan all of you who keep wishing for it, will be crying at this time next year wondering why we had a season like Texas did this year.

What makes you think that? Why is it that you tards think we will be worse off without Miles. What the frick do you think he does for this team that is so impressive besides recruiting? If Miles can win 10 games, than there are plenty of other coaches who can do the same.

Does he call plays?
Does he coach offense?
Does he coach defense?
Does he develop talent?
Does he coach O-line?
Does he coach special teams?
Does he coach clock management?

It's funny because the last 3 years, our offense has been sucking, and Miles coaching history includes OC and O-line coach, what total fail.

Agree with this 100%. This is the worse part of Miles leaving. LSU has never opened the checkbook to hire a top 5 coach. And would probably just be content on hiring someone from the middle of the pack big 10 0r 12. Dont really care if Miles leaves or not, but on the other hand if he decides to keep Crowton and the offense is putrid next season just like past seasons then he should be fired come 2012.

he is lucky and he seems to make decisions that help win. (see Fla. game)
