I'm not surprised it cooled off. Nothing can actually happen until Mack is officially out. I've never really thought he was going.. too old, but I still feel like we're near 50-50 at this point.

People today want instant gratification. Give it some time for things to shake out. This guys twitter account has already been posted and he doesn't seem to be very credible.

I never thought it was impossible that he would leave for Texas but I didn't assign it much probability.

I was just having fun trolling Bama fans like the rest.

It's cool if he stays, because it means we get to do it all over again same time next year!

No not Texas. It'll be some other place, it might take 2 years but this isn't the first "Saban's leaving" fun time we've had.

Fair enough, but if he doesn't go now. There will never be another rumor like this one. More will pop up for sure, but none like this.

I think it is the opposite . The longer saban waits to say he not going to texas . The more bama better worry

I'm with you. The longer this drags on without any comments from Saban, the more I think he is just waiting for Mack Brown to step down and get out of the way before he announces his move to Austin. If he wasn't waiting on Brown to move, Saban would have already announced he is accepting the renegotiated salary with Bama.

So if Saban hasn't announced his staying a UA by Friday evening, then Bama fans better really get ready for the bomb to drop on Sat or Sun.

the whole letting Brown hang around deal is really lame

I think everyone agrees Mack is gone regardless of what Saban does.

How many times does Saban buy a house near Austin.

Brilliant business move by Saban.

1. Buy house in Austin to make it appear to Bama you are serious about leaving.
2. Get huge raise from Bama to "prevent" you from leaving when you weren't really going anywhere.
3. Sell house in Austin for profit as it is now "Nick Saban's house".

Lil Nicky boy has a huge ego despite his tiny stature. Plus he loves a challenge and gets bored.

Nope. In fact, I went from amused and skeptical, to believing it.

Too much smoke from too many different directions, all pointing in the same way. The unsigned extension. The lack of any word from Saban, himself (if he was never considering leaving, there would have been some word once rumors truly started flying).

I think it's a done deal, and we'll have silence until the announcements now.
