Not that this is good, but there are too many programs in FBS that have next to no shot at ever competing and should never have come up from FCS.

If true what you hear from insider friends what a POS that Paul Bryant Jr. is. Man talking about being insecure. That's a shame for all the athletes if he controls the Board of Trustees that much.

UL-L would be my guess, but then they would have to realign the divisions. Maybe USA or Georgia State or Georgia Southern if they want an east team.

Meh! I agree that way too many states have way too many team in FBS. I mean let's be honest. ULL, ULM, and LaTech don't belong in FBS. They would be better off competing against Nichols, Southeastern, and Northwestern Louisiana.

Damn, some cold hearted people in Tuscaloosa.

Any players worth a damn at UAB that could contribute at SEC schools? Sometimes these mid-major type schools have 1 or 2 players that are good.

There's supposed to be a protest tonight down on campus. I don't think the city of Birmingham will allow it to happen. Personally, I think the city council is using this as leverage to push forward with a multi use dome. They already issued a proclamation stating the importance of UAB football to the city.

Legion Field is a dump. It is literally in one of the worst parts of town. Birmingham has proven that it can revitalise areas of downtown (Birmingham Barons and Railroad Park). A dome in that same area that could host conventions, sporting events (UAB football and the Magic City Classic), and other things would greatly benefit the city and the area.

He's (UAB president watts) commissioned a study. Guaranteed he will do whatever the study suggests. The BOT has already come out and said they'll support the president in his decision.

So it's easy....the study says can the program because it doesn't make money. President Watts will follow the recommendation, and then the BOT will support him. Everyone has someone else to blame.

And unless myself and every other UAB fan have missed something, he's not fighting this a lick

From UAB poster on reddit. Take that for what it's worth.

That's bowl eligible for the second year in a row. What's your point?

Or maybe he's making the best financial decision for the entire school and not just the one that benefits a handful of athletes and uninformed fans?

What does a concrete salesman know about running an educational system?

This is going to ruin all athletics at that school since the conference is kicking them to the curb.

Exactly. The best thing for UAB to do would be to separate themselves from UAT.

I wonder where Bill Clark will end up.

he did a good job this year getting UAB bowl eligible at least.
