And I belive Malzahn would give his right arm to take over a program like LSU...

It proves he can get a bunch of kids to play their heads off in a game they shouldnt win. I mean he has not proved that he could sustain a big boy program. I think he is one hell of a coach, but not sure if he could step into the spotlight and be the guy everyone wants.

I personally think Patterson is a pipedream but he would be by far the best hire if this were to go down, which I hope it doesn't.

June Jones and tubberville are jokes. I'll take Mike Reilly over both of them all day long.

LSU should break the bank for Patterson. He is THE GUY! If not him, lets ride Spurrier for a couple of good years he has left. He would salivate over the talent we have.

Not saying he is a bad coach. But I want to see what he does when he doesn't have Robert Griffin.

Seriously, what about Butch Davis and Kevin Sumlin?

No thanks, im just not sold on Patterson. Dont get me wrong....I would be happy if he were hired IF Les leaves, but I would be skeptical.

It's hard to know until that person actually has the job whether they would do better or worse than Miles.

Who would have thought we would win a national title within 4 years of hiring of Saban? He had one outstanding year at Michigan State and a whole lot of "eh" the rest of his time there.

Look at Miles at OK State. Yes, he made a moribund program somewhat relevant, but his only significant wins there were his two upset wins over Oklahoma.

To me, the whole coaching carousel is a crap shoot. Who would have thought that Rodriguez would do this poorly at Michigan? I mean, I wasn't expecting a national title or anything, but I really thought they would be more relevant than they are after what he had done at WVU.

As Jim Mora once said, "You think you know, but you don't know...and you never will."
