So Texas fires their HC and immediately locks up their guy

LSU fires their HC three months ago and couldn't get a gameplan together.
Behind the scenes work should've began the day the let Miles go. With Hermans agent. No excuses. If that's who you wanted, you go do what it takes to get him. LSU failed miserably and that's why they'll never be a top tier program.
I'm not going to try to see anything in this as a positive. Joe Alleva fricked this up so bad. Until he's out, LSU will continue to be mediocre.
Alabama went and got Saban when nobody thought they could. Nobody thought he'd actually leave the NFL. They got him.
LSU walked because they didn't want to actually work and fight for Herman (or Fisher, whoever). There was a post on here last night that said "LSU won't let Texas dictate the search". Seems pretty clear they did. They let Texas decide when LSU would end their search.

There was no search. Joe masterfully orchestrated hiring ole miss' worst coach and our current DL coach away from all the local middle schools.

LSU boosters are just as much to blame as Alleva in this. They continue to let Alleva tarnish LSU without stepping in and pressuring him. TAF should be ashamed of what they are letting happen to LSU.

Texas, Texas, Texas. What the hell is all the screaming about. Texas has been a program in decline for 20 years. All the talent in Texas and they STILL can't field a decent team.

I think the problem was putting all our eggs in the fisher basket and getting screwed around with by him and his agent until it was too late. Can we have an interim AD?
