I'll respond to you instead

Pete was mentioned

Jimmy Johnson comes to mind m

I interned at UF S&C in college and Meyer was undoubtedly a players coach as well. He'd come rah rah in the weight room out of nowhere and talk to these dudes about bullshite all the time

You don't have to be a dick

LSU fans are such bitter people these days

So this confirms that he is the next Saban. Harbaugh is a raging a-hole too.

I love LSU fans' intense concern with a coach's personality. None of you are having beers and hanging out with the LSU coach. Quit worrying about unimportant shite.

Players coaches I would love to have my kid play for.

Jimbo Fisher (at least that is my impression watching the behind the scenes show about him on showtime).
Pat Fitzgerald
David Shaw
Jim Harbaugh (he's weird as hell and intense but not an a-hole from what I have read).
Mike Riley
Urban Meyer (actually a really positive upbeat guy)
Dabo Swinney
Dan Mullen

Well, the way he walked into Texas and got rid of the entire Strong staff right off the bat did take a bit of cold bloodedness. He would have probably done the same thing with LSU's staff.
I mean, it is a regime change...

besides, I think any negotiations with LSU would include the retaining of key defensive personnel, namely aranda, raymond and possibly O.

Well his players hated him and lost to inferior teams.

Agreed. Saban's players probably think he's an a-hole too.

When I saw him today I said so how does [insert Son's name] feel about Herman leaving for Texas?....(his Son had been recruited by both programs, and many others) His exact words were..." they had a huge party, they all hate him, he is an a-hole". "They are glad he is leaving".
Take it for what you want, he may kiss 'em in public, but he berates them in private..
We may have dodged a bullet.

Wow... this is some great insight.

The sheer fact that the players don't like him and his record against top 25 teams at Houston makes me even more pissed that we didn't get him!

there is always part of every team who hates their coach. I'm guessing this kid isnt a stud.
