He at least went to the playoffs. CEO didn't sniff anything close to a winning season.

So they had one good season and sucked the rest. You're right. They didn't fail as bad, but last time I looked a less than 50% success rate pretty much sucks. The point still holds that a combination of the 2 most storied coaches in all of football coached together and failed. Did they learn and apply those failures to success? I would imagine so. Does it sometimes take the right job at the right time to succeed? Probably.

You do realize you don't get to pick your players for the most part in pro right?

In college CEO recruited all his players. He got worse every year.
I don't hate CEO but I think he should go to a smaller school and build it up to be a winner. Then i'm all in for the local guy.

You're really trying to stretch that Belicheck-O comparison

The common thread with BB and Saban is they are both extremely detail oriented and can gameplan at an elite level

Coachs O biggest skill to coaching is apparently "not coaching and letting assistants run things"

frick I could do that

When did they do away with the draft and free agency?

so a HC should be able to recruit his own players and win before they should be able to take a HC job at a school at LSU? just asking
and i do agree with you about coaches going to a smaller school and showing that they can maintain a program before they walk into the jungle like the SEC West. i think thats one of the reasons he didn't do well at Ole Miss as the HC.

So now the HC and assistants draft the players now?

In college the HC has the final say on all the players. Pro. NOPE

Orgeron was a terrible HC. No matter how much you try to argue that wont change until he changes.

Hopefully LSU wont be the pig in the test.

Bill Parcells: “If I'm going to be asked to cook the meal, I'd like to be able to pick the groceries.”

Please tell me you don't really believe that NFL HCs, OCs and DCs don't have a huge say if not the final say in who they draft.

You are really comparing BB and Saban to CEO.

I'm not. I'm pointing out that even giants of the game have had rocky starts. I never even came close to saying anything implying O is in Saban's or BB's league. Nice deflection from your 2 previous fantasy posts though.
