Now that we have buttoned up the DC, who do we get for OC? I wouldn't mind keeping Sloan, it helps continuity, and he is young and up and coming. Any "smoke" out there like there was for Baker?

Haven’t heard even a rumor. Seems like LSU is spending the majority of the money on the defense (as they should) and probably promoting Sloan.

I’m thinking it will be co-OCs with Sloan calling the plays. You definitely don’t want to lose either one of them. Apparently Bama has targeted Hankton for WR coach. Our advantage is that he is from LA and be could possibly be the OC or co-OC.

I’m fine with Sloan as well. I know he was the OC at La Tech but idk how he was, stats etc but I feel like he has learned BKs offense enough to run it.

I could also see us getting a big name coach that BK has worked with before as well but eventually Sloan will get his chance, so we might as well give it to him

I’m hoping for this, but I don’t think Kelly wants to go the co-coordinator route. Hopefully I’m wrong, bc it would suck to lose either of them.

Sloan is getting a hard look I’m not sure about any outside candidates as of yet

Tim Crampsey, Memphis
Andy KotenickI, Kansas
Chip Lindsey, NC

Those three would be a good place to start.

Play calls looked pretty good to my uneducated self in the bowl game, but have any X’s and O’s posters dug in and done any analysis on the game plan and play calls?

Better be someone that teaches the receivers to run a route beyond the first down marker on 3rd down

Unless Bama is planning on replacing Rees with Hankton, it would be only a lateral move, and we just outbid Bama to keep Hankton.
