lol why would a LB care about changes on the O side... that most people if not all will agree will be vast improvement.

UT went 7 years of premiere QBing with VY and colt. they were breaking in a new QB this year. welcome to the life of every other school where you dont get elite QBing. why is UT above this theory?

Because they are UT damn it!
Agree with the post though.
Texas always has that two or three year where they are "down" while breaking in their new QB (Applewhite/Sims 99'/2000[5 losses and 3 losses], VY '03 [3 losses], Colt McCoy '06/'07 [3 losses each year] and Gilbert '10 [7 losses]) then they will do better in a year or two with a seasoned QB (Sims '01/'02 [11-2/11-2], VY '04/'05 [11-1/13-0] Colt McCoy '08/'09 [12-1/13-1])
I know this year is worse than others, but those players just didn't even seem to be trying hard this year.

He is a decent to good QB coach.. His play calling has always been awful. His greatest coaching job was deciding halfway through the year to let VY be VY.
heck most people have hated him since 03 and have been calling for his head. Our O succeeds in spite of GD, not because of him.
