why would a head coach leave for an OC position?

maybe to win a National Championship...or stay in obscurity and get paid less money with more responsibility and expectations...your right again.

actually, he never coached at A&M, resigned due to some family issue and didn't coach this past yr.

makes sense...let's hire him...if it doesn't work out, maybe Muschamp will hire him as the WR coach the following season...

Didn't he just accept the same position at WV along with the coach-in-waiting tag?

Paul Chryst would be perfect. We'd be a Big Ten style team but with waaaaayyy better athletes.

Line up, smash the ball with our big backs and huge oline and then go over top with our speed guys.

It's something we have the athletes for and it's what Les really wants to do.

I don't understand why you would run of GC and then hire Kragthorpe. He's another spread guy. At least that's what I remember with Tulsa and Louisville.

I like his background...he was a QB for Wisconsin and now is OC and QB coach, which is what we need.

He grew up in Madison, went to Wisconsin for college and now is coach there...

not sure if he would be willing to make a lateral move...

What about the Phillips guy at Houston ? Explosive offenses are the norm for this guy.

I would take him off your list...has a Div 1 head coach ever resigned to take an assistant position at another school?

Not sure for Football...but David Grewe was the head coach at Mich. St. baseball and came to be an assistant at LSU.

I think Billy G. gets promoted. He wanted the job at Florida and didn't get it. That turned out to be a disaster for UF. He had to come here with the belief he would be in line for the OC.

probably a better move, for multiple reasons...1 being he knows the Offense, and players like him, and we could bring in a lesser known OC in waiting to under-study...I like it actally better than a Big Name OC...
