NCAA had no jurisdiction over Penn St case.

What I'm saying. Penn State removed all involved from their institution and let the law handle it. frick the NCAA for scapegoating.

There was a reason Penn St accepted penalties without fighting them. It was setting up a legal action (injunction) which they would've won. Notice soon as the "people started talking about legality and bylaws the NCAA backed off.

Their executives and lawyers covered up and failed to report an employee then former employee fricking little boys in the team's facility showers, let me repeat that so it is crystal fricking clear.

Their administrators and university lawyers helped cover up and conceal a PEDOFILE WHO WAS A UNIVERSITY EMPLOYEE AND THEN FORMER EMPLOYEE frickING LITTLE BOYS IN THE PENN STATE SHOWERS. THERE SHOULD BE frickING PUBLIC EXECUTIONS.

Yeah. Chances are if you can't spell pedophile you aren't the most knowledgable individual to discuss anything with, but let's give it a go anyway.

sms said the NCAA did not have jurisdiction (a dog in the fight) in the instance of a former school employee's legal problems. Regardless of who should be executed, publicly or otherwise, he is correct. As a Penn State fan, I am okay with some of the decisions of (former LSU employee) Mark Emmert, to prevent an incentive for a large athletic department to cover up something so horrible in the future.

Speaking of former LSU employees, a quick google search brought up the following:
quote:

TEMPE, Ariz. — Arizona State reportedly has placed assistant athletic director for recruiting Sherman Morris on administrative leave after his arrest in a domestic-violence incident last month. Morris was hired by ASU in March after six seasons at LSU, where he was director of player personnel. The Arizona Republic reported Thursday that Morris was charged by police in suburban Chandler with one count of aggravated assault-serious physical injury and one count of aggravated assault-strangulation on Aug. 29. ASU officials issued a release saying a “football-staff employee” was placed on administrative leave “pending the outcome of a review of the facts in the case.” However, the employee wasn’t identified. Morris was hired by ASU in March after six seasons at Louisiana State, where he was director of player personnel.

Strangling women is much more acceptable to some, so I completely understand that the situations are different, and I am an apologist. Should LSU or ASU be sanctioned by NCAA for this employee's actions? Of course not.

Now, if you have anything to add to the thread besides trolling, I'm sure it is welcomed. If you would rather flame me, hey, I'm a lurker and I have no problem getting banned showing you how stupid you are. All the caps locks in the world won't make you smarter.

As soon as PSU accepted the penalties, it consented to jurisdiction, rendering that issue moot. Also, it was a consent decree that PSU willingly entered into. PSU has practically no case now to dispute the NCAA ruling -- it freely consented to it. There was no finding of fact.

I don't think so Baloo because they were going to use by laws as the loophole. Usually I agree with you on things.

Are you kidding? Penn St got backed into a corner and had no choice but to accept these conditions because the NCAA told them the death penalty would occur if they didn't. Penn St was in a PR nightmare and the last thing they needed was the threat of the death penalty and a witchhunt led by the NCAA on top of law endorcement

In a vacuum, PSU would never have accepted those because they are bullahit and they know it. NCAA had no business getting involved. I will say though that going through the public thrashing by the NCAA is likely making them look like a more "clean" program and probably helped the. Though considering things are being repealed

Ok, time to bring this thread back to the coaching search for Penn State.
Schiano- I wouldn't want this guy.

Munchak- this would be a great move for both parties.

Golden- this is his dream job and he would not leave for a long time.

He has had 3 mediocre seasons with the Titans. He should bolt before they fire him.

True, no College experience, but he is a Penn State alum with many years of both playing and coaching experience in the NFL which is a big selling point with recruits.
