My two cents on CLM

We always hear that CLM is the greatest HC for LSU of All-Time and I agree. However, we don't have a great coaching history. Before Saban came in 2000 we were very average all the way back into the 80s when Charles McClendon was running things. So it is easy to look at our recent history and say statistically he is our best HC of all-time.
So here is my level headed rant of why I think we should honor CLM, but move on.
Every year it seems like we have a constant QB issue and end the season with no true answer. I am very proud that we have won the NC in 2007 under CLM, but that year and last year were the only two years that we have had solid QB play out of 10 years?! I don't believe CLM knows how to properly evaluate QB talent or if he does he doesn't know how to groom them and put them in the right positions to succeed. My reasoning is that Matt Flynn was not a CLM era recruit. He was recruited by Saban and had a year under him to get his footing. Also, Mettenberger was originally a UGA recruit that spent a year in JUCO as a starter before we got him so he was ready to start.
I don't believe CLM sees the err in his offensive ways. Sure we hired Cam Cameron, but the offense looks exactly the same as it has for Les' entire tenure. I am very successful in what I do for a living and I realized early on that you always have to be willing to reinvent yourself and take chances to grow. While CLM takes chances during the game with play calling he doesn't seem to with offensive changes or who is starting.
CLM has done a good job with great players and this is the first year I have really hoped he makes a move. Hopefully he takes up Michigan if they officially offer and I wish him the best of luck.

Sadly Bo Rein passed away before he ever coached a practice at LSU

Wasn't aware that our program only dates back to the 1980's.
We have 118 seasons of football and 30 coaches to compare Miles to.

If you are very successful in business they you should understand that timing is everything when it comes to testing the market. This is not the year to be in the coaching market.

Can the admins give "he gone" a temporary reprieve from banland ...we need his insightful commentary and sage observations in this upheaval
