This would be quite the lateral. Especially with no more Dak.

He isn't going anywhere.

Dak was one heck of a middle linebacker.

It's a lot easier to run a defense when your offense can move.

Still unsure why he'd even considered jumping on the sinking ship.

Dak held you guys afloat.

Weren't the majority of LSU fans wanting to fire Les a month ago? Maybe he feels like Mullen is more secure at MSU than Les is at LSU.

Alleva has already stated Les would remain the coach at LSU for "a long time to come".

Seems pretty stable to me.

Mullen is freaking out after Diaz left him, and I don't blame him.

The offense will be interesting to watch next year. I'm thinking more turnovers but more big plays as well. Fitz appears to be a pretty slick runner and is going to put some pressure on a defense in ways Dak couldn't (or maybe just didn't) this year. Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying there won't be a definite drop off, but I think we'll see some aspects of the offense open up that weren't there this year. Hope so anyway.

You guys want to get rid of Alleva too though. Maybe that's cooled after the b-ball win over Kentucky? I need to go by the rant and see which way the wind is blowing this week.

Perhaps he wants to be a DC now that Aranda is at LSU?

Coach O recommended Aranda and said he wants to be at LSU

Of course things can change but he seems extremely happy where he is doing what he does

He's also said before he doesn't want to DC, he would only leave for a nice HC job..

Again of course money can change things. LSU will probably poney up some money

I would be cautious in taking the views in the Rant or Tigerdroppings as representing the majority of fans. The man did get a standing ovation from the fans at the A&M game, hardly what you would expect if they wanted him fired.

I lot of people thought he was on his way out. The standing O was a thank you.

Many of those people would not have done that if they knew it was gonna help keep him.

No matter, Les is there and will be there for at least 2 or 3 seasons at a minimum. Alleva will be made the scapegoat.

Ed 0 isn't going anywhere. Yaw-Yaw still has work to do, and his kids being at LSU has to be a big plus for him. I can't imagine all the time he had to spend away from his kids in his previous jobs. He can spend time with his kids, bring in a hefty pay check, and LSU fans thoroughly respect the man and his work.

Ummm, that could have also been a last hurrah and the fans wanted to send him out on a good note.....if Les had been fired, it wouldn't have just magically erased everything he did before then, and I know the homers like to think just because you wanted to fire Les it means you hated everything he did. If you aren't being irrational and taking that leap in logic, then its perfectly plausible that many of the fans standing up and applauding were doing it as a "thanks". But you certainly will think whatever fits your own opinion.

All the tweets now are saying Coach O is staying at LSU & that he is in negotiations for an extension & a raise. Pretty much a done deal according to all the sources out there.
