I don't think Nebraska fans are too happy about that shite...
Take note LSU fans...change for the sake of change is not always good. But, the results will tell the final story.

True, but this looks like a quick trigger hire.

Unexpected for sure, but IMO Mike Riley is a very good coach. We'll find out exactly how good now that he's got a program with some resources.

He's in shitehole Corvallis competing against nicer/better schools everywhere except WSU.
Well then... I guess his loss to an FCS school last year & in 2011 doesn't matter.

Mike Riley has been pursued a ton and he held out for Nebraska? Damn.

Didn't he pass on the Alabama job before they hired Saban? I know Rich Rod did, but I swear I read that he pulled his name out of the running afterward.

ETA - looks like he passed on the Bama job before they hired Price.

Surprised but the guy is a good coach. Upgrade of personality but lateral in coaching. Nebraska may be an impossible job though

If true, Riley is a great coach. He was just being loyal to his region by staying at OSU. People don't realize how hard a job OSU is to succeed at given the limited resources and being second fiddle in a state like Oregon.

They love him up there despite struggling the last few years, so that should tell you something.

They'll be wishing for those 9-3 seasons soon now.

so Riley is 61 years old making a move to resurrect a tradition rich program?

i thought that was frowned upon.

Agree there must be some issue with him and the AD at OSU to jump now. He's been pursued quite a few times but now is a strange time for this.

I wouldn't have fired Bo for him, but I thought his stock was pretty high a few years ago and he has been rumored for USC a few times.
