Harbaugh will probably be the next coach. Why do you think no news is coming out of Ann Arbor about the search? Just like Alabama did when they courted Saban, the situation is the same. No news out of Tuscaloosa about their search...because they were waiting for the season to end. After the NFL season ends, you can bet Harbaugh's arse will be on the Michigan Blue Jet to Ann Arbor-just like Saban did back then to Alabama!!!!

I'm not sure, but damn, if he were the coach, they would be a contender in a few years.

Successful NFL coaches don't leave for lesser jobs. Saban left because he was a shite NFL coach.

saban seemed to not like the NFL and wasn't a successful NFL coach like harbaugh.
that being said, harbaugh is not going to michigan. he'll be on a different team in the NFL next year though

I don't see Harbaugh being so close to a Super Bowl victory as a coach leaving the NFL to go to college, much less in the Big 10.

That's a huge step in the wrong direction, IMO.

It would not surprise me if harbaugh went back to Michigan just so the 49ers could not trade him to another NFL team. Might be his last chance to screw the 49ers.

If I was Michigan, I would worry that the right job in the NFL opens up in a few years and Harbaugh goes back to the NFL. They would be stuck in the same situation.

If it's not Miles would like JH. CFB would be better with Michigan and Notre Dame being good.

If 2 years is enough time to determine how shitty a coach is then 10 years should be a hint and a half - unless your program is run by morons.

Hell less work hours...Recruiting at Mich is not that hard.. Become a force within the Big Ten in two to three years AND Michigan would open the vault for Jim...... Stay 5-6 years and another NFL gig will open up....

Does it make you and others feel better to think this?

2004 Dolphins 4-12

2005 Dolphins with Saban 9-7

2006 Dolphins with Saban 6-10

2007 Dolphins 1-15

Had the Miami doctors not been idiots Saban signs Brees and never ends up in Tuscaloosa. Thanks dumbasses in Miami.

Oh and The Patriots have been shut out twice under Billicheck. Buffalo in 2002 and Miami in 2006. Saban went 2-2 against his mentor.

Or, maybe, being the dumpster fire that is Michigan administration, they can't get their house in order to present a unified front to lure a worthy head coach. Too many cooks in the kitchen...

The longer it goes without any news, the more I hope this is the case.

Probably just setting myself up for disappointment, but still.

So you're saying that he was a net loser on a downward trajectory in the NFL. Got it.

The burning of Kapernick jerseys by fansdoes not look good for the tenure of Harbaugh at San Fran.

Then again, he should be able to pick the NFL job he wants once his San Fran Contract ends. I do not blame him for not wanting to be traded to a team and be used as a bargaining chip by San Fran to their advantage rather than making his own choices

You mean the NFL should treat some employees (coaches) differently than they treat other employees (players) who are under contract?

Oh he's gone. That's been pretty much a given for a while now.

It's more a question of where than if.
