NFL coaches have right of first refusal regarding any trades in which they are involved.

If the trade is refused the 49er's can fire Harbaugh, but that will never happen. Harbaugh is a hot commodity, and it would benefit both parties to achieve a mutually desirable outcome.

No it doesn't.

Seven years and three national championships later, do you really think we give a frick what he did in the NFL?

I was just going to say that as an LSU fan I wish that midget would have been able to cut it in the NFL. I will say that most coaches absolutely do not move from the highest level of coaching to college unless they are told to get out. I was told this by a current NFL coach I had to watch for a day in NOLA. Whatever happened in the league he's a hell of a college coach and I wish he was at LSU.

You being defensive tells me every bit of that, actually.

Is that what this thread was about?

If I had known the double-secret purpose I never would have clicked.

The word you want is "disdainful" not "defensive," Steve.

It was not quiet

I meant the Bama admin was quiet and it appeared they were in no hurry to hire anyone. The press on the other hand hounded Saban about the Bama job. No one is doing that to Harbaugh but just like Bama, Michigan seems to be in no hurry.
