Think that was the year before Cristobal got to FIU.

It was, Cristobal was on the Miami staff as OL coach.

If he gets the job, you can almost guarantee Lamar Thomas is one of his first calls...

Not that I dislike cristobal but they'd be doing themselves a disservice by only going after a "Miami guy"

In his defense, he should've never been canned.

Absolutely, he brought the program to life, then gets shitcanned because of a bad year. Believe he is currently the only coach to have a winning season there, let alone 2 of them.

Didn't he dip on Miami after a week and went to Bama a couple of years ago?

It should be Butch or Fuente.

Fuente is in a better situation where he's at. Going to take a lot more than $2.5 from Miami to jump.

He would be one of a very few coaches in the college game that could lock down that elite south Flordian talent.

Let's just say that high school coaches in the south area of Florida know who he is. That's all I will say about that.

I think Miami and Cristobal are fits. Miami fans will likely commit mass suicide though.

So maybe like 3, 4 casualties?
