I can’t reveal my sources but they are reliable posters on tigerdroppings and confirm that they are hearing on tigerdroppings that Sterlin Gilbert will possibly be LSU OC. TIFWIW

I don't know if this question has been asked: Why is O(or Alleva) interviewing so many spread system guys(Gilbert, Briles maybe Cumbie)? O has talked about wanting a pro style offense. I'm just worried that hiring someone that has a system that O doesn't prefer might cause problems between O and the future OC like the issues O had with Canada.

No clue. I have no idea what's going on in O's head. He's said he wanted pro, then spread...etc. There's no telling.

looked like a genius through 3 games at UT then people figured out his offense and was very predictable.

If O does that again, get ready for Aranda to be named head coach

Didn't Texas have a 2,000 yard rusher under Gilbert?

It is spread but maybe it's more of a power spread or whatever

Interesting question. Almost like it’s just what people want to hear.

Great!

We can make him the highest paid OC and let zero fire him next year for being disloyal.

You mean when it got to the point where they had to score on every possession because their defense was God awful? Because that is totally different than what he would have here bud

It must be true - Wikipedia already shows him as Offensive Coordinator at Louisiana State University!

So are you saying O was lying when he said he wanted to move to a more pro style system, or just that he’s changed his mind again already?

It's not about the spread. It's about the pace.
