3 years**, and that's not my rationale, you just assumed that. He got lucky with a Heisman QB like Gene Chizik.

Do you really not see the difference between Chizik and Cam and Jimbo and Winston? Chizik didnt develop Newton or put him in the position to win. He was a transfer and Malzahn called plays. Fisher recruited, developed and called the plays for Winston. Im not shitting on Herman but saying Jimbo is on the decline is hilarious.

Or maybe he knows he is coming to Baton Rouge and is tired of talking about FSU......

I'm not sure he is my first choice, but I have thought this since the press conference after the Louisville loss. He just looks like he's gone.

No Chizik got lucky because Newton was a juco transfer, Fisher recruited and coached-up Winston so I don't think you can say that was luck. He recognized the talent, landed the talent and then coached him into being a Heisman winner.

You really think Jimbo "coached up" Winston?

He's had issues motivating going back to 2014. I think he has hit a wall. If he remains at FSU he needs to make some major changes

Nope, I don't think he coached him up at all. Everyone knows that Winston coached himself into being a Heisman winning QB, Fisher and his staff had nothing to do with it.

Or wait maybe he was a Heisman winning QB his senior year in HS and he should have gone straight to the NFL.

Ok I tried to give you the benefit of the doubt, but that comment just proves you are a dumbass!!!

You are probably right, a change of scenery is probably what he needs. Understand he has been going through a lot of personal issues also with his family life. If that is true, and I have no idea if it is or isn't, then that can wear on you mentally and make things difficult all the way around. Trust me on that one!!!

He's gonna have to change if he leaves also. He is way too stubborn on offense.

So Fisher gets all the credit for Winston, but Chizik gets no credit for Cam?

Yea because 18 year olds can enter the draft

Yes, exactly. Completely different scenarios.

So tell me then chief, what exactly has Tom Herman accomplished?

I would say he is trolling but coaching search situations really bring out some ridiculous LSU fans.

Pretty sure Jimbo is the OC/QB coach while Chizik is a DC. Don't know exactly what Chizik did to help Cam besides maybe paying a few car notes.

Chizik is a defensive coach that has zero to do with cam Newton

Fisher is an offensive coach and his own OC that had everything to do with winston

You are being dumb here

You really are retarded, and John Cena is the perfect handle for you. If you don't understand the differences in the two situations, then stop commenting.

Nb4 "that game was meaningless"

So you want to hire a coach based on one game?

Charlie Weatherbie was ULM's coach in 2007 and he beat Saban with 1/4 of the talent. Maybe LSU should hire him.

Let me guess, you were 10 years old when Jimbo was coaching here and have never heard the man speak before now.

Jimbo is the Head Coach and OC. His specialty is QB's.

Chizik was a Defensive Coordinator........ Please tell me you can see the difference. Not willing to acknowledge Jimbo was responsible for the success of Winston just proves you have an ax to grind and everything you say regarding Jimbo will be biased.

Oh, and I am not advocating LSU hire Jimbo, but I am objective enough to acknowledge his accomplishment.
