I was unimpressed to say the least. He talked as fast as an auctioneer and bounced around without ever finishing a thought. I personally think he is a tired and not overly motivated coach. If we go with someone other than Orgeron, I hope it's a rising coach and not one who has clearly plateaued or on the decline.

Or maybe he knows he is coming to Baton Rouge and is tired of talking about FSU......

The interviews coaches during the week are often forced and hurried. They don't want to do it but have to. Don't look too much into it.

So you're judging a football coach based on what he says during a radio interniew he probably doesn't want to be at in the first place rather than what he's accomplished as a FULL TIME coach of a major power 5 school?

Makes sense.

well I mean if you feel that way we'll get in touch with the power folks of LSU and have him removed from contention.

Thank goodness you warned us before we hired the guy you are unimpressed with...

Let me guess, you want Orgeron though because he "loves Louisiana?"

He is one of LSU's least impressive candidates right now. He reached the zenith of his career years ago

Lol, you mean 3 years ago when he won the NC with a Heisman winning QB that he recruited and developed?

Yes, "years" plural form aka greater than 1.

So by your criteria, LSU's next coach has to have won a NC within the last two years? Good luck chief.

Considering the last two to win one after Jimbo's were Meyer and Saban

He's about as smart as the real John Cena

Ok other than Saban & Meyer who has won multiple NC's in the past 15 years? My point being is there are only a couple at the top of the mountain everyone else is trying to get there. Fisher has been to the top of the mountain so he knows what it takes to get there. Sometimes people just need a change of scenery and a new challenge to be reinvigorated. I think Fisher would be a good hire but it is a moot point because he ain't coming!!!

If the criteria is that the coach needs to have won a national championship and developed a Heisman winning quarterback then Gene Chizik should be considered.

Seems like Jimbo is taking a Gene-like spiral this year. Why hire someone in their decline? Makes no sense.

Jimbo won a NC 3 years ago.

So by your rationale, anyone who hasnt won a NC in the last two years is on the decline. Im not going to argue about whether or not Jimbo is a qualified coach. I bet you think Coach O is the man for the job huh?

3 years**, and that's not my rationale, you just assumed that. He got lucky with a Heisman QB like Gene Chizik.
