I still think Saban is great no doubt. And Saban at Mich state was actually nothing really special for them.

5 coaches before Nick

109-69
19-13
24-18
10-23
68-67

and then nick was 34-24. Nothing really special. Their current coach is their program builder. And before you say Saban built it for him, bullshite. The coaches before Dantonio went 16-17 and 22-26

You do realize Saban inherited scholarship restrictions at Michigan State?

87, layout Saban's, Carroll's, and harbaughs records..........highlight how many championships. Oh, we are talking NCAA, so keep the NFL crap out.

For you to argue against the facts is funny

Failed? You realize Saban had a better first couple of years than several other prominent NFL head coaches?

Tyrone Whillingham turned Stanford into a winner before Harbaugh and coach before Harbaugh was 8-14 the previous 2 season (not abysmal at all)

Conference and national titles are irrelevant? Then what are we using to judge coaches? Wins alone?
When comparing seasons where both teams only lost 1 game, yes. Unless you think les miles 12-2 is better than 14-0 Tubbs season. I can look past the titles and say obviously 14-0 is better.

You really are missing the point, also what does the previous 5 coaches mean? When for one program it can go back 20 years

Irrelvant for the conversation comparing seasons. 1 loss is 1 loss. Is one season better simply because other teams throughout the country lost as well? No.

Why in the blue frick do you keep bringing up MSU?

Lets discuss LSU and Bama.....

How many titles has JH won?
How many titles has NS won?

Simple math, son.

Then I'm sure Michigan is willing to pony up north of 8 million a year to just win a munch of meaningless games. All those championships don't matter.

Why does he continue to bring up "previous 5 coaches" when that is irrelevant?

THIS IS ABOUT GETTING YOUR #1 Candidate

Buying Victory not earning it

Michigan has seen this before. They are just following the bumps lead.

Get used to it folks. The numbers will only get gaudier from here.

Am i? I was simply showing Saban did nothing special at mich st. he did nothing out of their norm. Harbaugh completely changed Stanford. The current coach at Mich St. has built that program. Look, I think Saban is an absolute all time great, and the best currently in the college game. But i think Harbaugh is a better coach. What he did at Stanford and what he has done in the NFL makes me think he is. I think if he comes back to college he will have as much or more success than Nick Saban. Could I be wrong? Of course. But I think it is a rational well thought out opinion

Much more success that Saban? Wow.

I'd lobby Saban resurrected Bama into the most dominant football dynasty in NCAA history.

You've brought a role of toilet paper to a gun fight.....

The previous 5 seasons before Harbaugh took over at Stanford they were 16-40.

They were 1-11 when he took them over and proceeded to go 4-8, 5-7, 8-5, and 12-1.

It's as good of a rebuilding job as you could possibly have.

Nick Saban was 12-1 when he won his title at LSU. Why is that season better then a 12-1 season at Stanford? Just because one got voted in? Also, of course Saban has more titles. Harbaugh has never coached at a major program in college football. But i believe if he did he would be better than Saban. Sorry that makes you angry
