For the love of god, this isn't totally reassuring.

I feel exactly like I did during the 4Q of the 2012 and 2014 Bama games. We're winning, glory seems imminent, only seconds away, but I'm bracing myself for the inevitable and improbable kick in the gut, the loss. Please don't break my sporting heart again, LSU. Get Jimbo or Herman.

This is so stupid. Obviously, this has been fluid with multiple players negotiating. I'm grateful for the updates during the process. Why shoot the messenger?

I guess we could just all sit back and wait for the press conference and never pay attention till then.
