So LSU is going to have to pay Les' buyout, Jimbo's buyout, and Muschamp's buyout?
Is Jimbo at least going to bring Brewster with him?

I grew up with FSU's head strength and conditioning coach Vic Viloria. If all of this goes down I really hope he lets Vic take over at LSU. He was here under Moffitt for 3 years before moving on to SMU and then to FSU. He's one of Gayle Hatch's students. He's fiery, young, innovative, etc. Plus it will be totally awesome that "little" Vic from Chalmette's Vista playground would be LSU's head strength coach.

Thanks Random.... I knew about the Steele deal and reported it here only to get mocked by a bunch of know-it-alls for the better part of 2 weeks

Can you elaborate on if the Jimbo part of the deal is "done"?

I don't think Will has a buyout.

You sure? I thought he could take whatever job he wanted with no buyout. But that may just be a head coaching position.

Bare minimum firing Les costs 15 mil, and the boosters have no issue with that. They won't have issue with Jimbos buyout or any coordinator buyout. They are going all in

I know.

Here is what AL.com wrote. This looks to me that Will owes Auburn nothing.

quote:

The defensive coordinator could pursue a head coaching opportunity in early December with no concern for financial penalty, according to the three-year deal released Wednesday to AL.com through an open records request.

Muschamp only owes Auburn a buyout of $1 million if he leaves before the end of the regular season or the SEC Championship game on Dec. 5 if Auburn advances to Atlanta this season. After that, Muschamp is free to pursue other employment opportunities at no cost to him.

I was told money isn't an issue. Only assistant I heard about the OP already mentioned. No clue about what current staffers LSU would like to keep on board.

Give it.

ETA: He is one of the more critical elements in this hiring game.
