Honestly Arkansas should take him back. He's better than Bert and isn't doesn't act like a jackass. If Bielema misses a bowl this year, I'd imagine he's toast.

I would pay all the money for him to be the first UALR Football coach and play in War Memorial every Saturday. I would even love it if they recruited heavily from the Arkansas School for the Deaf Leopards.

You don't know anything about Houston Nutt if you really think that.

He knows how to win at Arkansas, and he accomplished more in Fayetteville than your current coach ever will

Your program hasn't been stable since he left, I don't see what how it would be a bad hire

His program wasn't stable when he was here. He was here a decade only because he was a homegrown guy who was good at sucking up to the big money boosters and being best friends with the media. He and his family have deep roots in the state, and he squeezed every ounce out of it he could. Outside of Broyles (who actually backed it up with wins), literally no one here has ever been better at getting the media and donors on his side through an access-driven, GOB network. To the day he was let go, the media refused to speak an ill word about him. Negative callers were shouted down or hung up on on radio shows, and print media members became increasingly tone deaf as the program circled the drain.

He cycled through assistant coaches and players who weren't in his inner circle, and he acted like a complete moron for at least the entirety of the last half of his tenure in his press conferences and media appearances. The Malzahn/Springdale fiasco was completely his doing because he couldn't keep his ego in check.

If his name had been Houston Smith and he was from Wyoming, he'd have been canned in 2001, and definitely in 2004 or 2005.

why. he has had several chances to prove "hisself". Who in their right mind at a P5 school would want him.

Not really. There's a reason he has had two SEC jobs and fans of both schools DESPISE him.
