couted 4on fist page...maybe talking USCw...why the frick even talk about USCw on this board?

I'm assuming they're talking USCe

Yeah, they're all talking about SoCal.

No poster with half a brain would think that South Carolina is as good of a job as Georgia, or even 50% of the job as Georgia.

i won't call South Carolina as good as UGA, but it's more than 50%

I view UGA as a better job than the real USC. I am happy for them they finally did the right thing and separated from Richt.

99% of the 17 millio people in LA make no where fricking near 5 million a year

Do you even have a clue about what that kind of money is? Not only that but a coach could rent a house there to avoid getting in the long term game with property.

Coaching at USC is so far superior to coaching at Georgia it isnt even worth discussing further

No coach is making enough to live in any of those neighborhoods and unlike college towns, college coaches are not the man in LA. Anyone living decently will live 45 minutes to an hour away and commute.

Your an absolute moron. Nobody is paying 50% in taxes first of all. Secondly, even if their take home was in the neighborhood of $2m/year, there are plenty of beautiful neighborhoods they can afford. If a proven coach comes, like a chip Kelly, who has already amassed a very nice savings account, they can easily afford the best areas, including Beverly Hills. Pete Carroll lived on the beach of Malibu when he was at usc.

Yes, UGA should be a top 5 program. They arent a totally sleeping giant, but they're a day-dreaming giant. plenty of resources, name recognition, good history, and loaded with talent in the area. The right coach would have them contending for Titles very quickly.

This has gone about as marvelous for McGarity as it possibly could've. UGA wins out after the season appeared to be falling apart. Deflection of all the noise leading up to Richt's dismissal thanks to LSU. An outpouring of support for the departed coach while the media, by and large, admits the move is likely for the best. The only other major job that could've tripped things up is now off the market......
